Who starts a business during a recession? Angela and Ron Horne do—that’s who!
In 2009, they launched Mediascript, using their past experiences to create something truly transformative. Their vision? To establish an e-learning company that offered a fresh, innovative solution. They crafted a unique platform that enabled rapid content creation with compliance-based tracking and reporting, initially serving the medical sector, non-profits, and medium-sized businesses.
As time passed, Mediascript expanded its horizons to include interactive kiosks and signage, custom software development, e-learning systems and learning management systems (LMS), video production, webcasting, website and app development, and a conference management platform.
In 2024, they embraced change and rebranded with two new brands: BRIGHTPIXEL Interactive and con-nexxion. BRIGHTPIXEL, creates powerful experiences that engage and connect audiences. They specialize in interactive digital signage and kiosks, develop custom software that streamlines organizational processes and create websites and mobile applications to engage customers.
Con-nexxion provides exceptional fractional executive concierge services, offering support in areas such as administration, operations, certification, website development, marketing, and project management.
Additionally, Mediascript proudly operates two additional DBA brands: Great Dane Press, celebrated for its unique custom stationery and gifts, and Wholesome Medicinals, dedicated to delivering high-quality THC-free CBD products to support your family’s health, well-being and lifestyle.

Angela Horne
chief executive officer
Angela began her career in banking working her way up to assistant branch manager. From there, she became an office manager for a technology company. The combination of these experiences, along with having the entrepreneurial spirit led her and Ron to start mediascript.
Angela is an active member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) since 2010. And serves as chair for several committees through their Regional Partner Organization the Women’s Business Enterprise Council Ohio River Valley (WBEC ORV). She has been named:
- WBE Advocate of the Year in 2013 and 2018
- WBE Supplier of the Year in 2016
- Volunteer of the Year in 2021
- WBENC STAR Award 2023
Additionally, Angela has completed the Kaufman FastTrac Program as well as the Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell University.
Ron Horne
chief technology officer and senior project lead
Ron has had a varied career; however, there has always been a central focus; building robust and quality systems to allow for the wide distribution of content/media for the most effective experience. He does this by combining his talents and experience of technical writing, technology sales and support, project management, application design, and a thorough understanding of rich media production, including professional video, audio, content development and editing. Of course, none of this would be possible without an enthusiastic work philosophy and the desire to continually be learning.
