Who starts a business during a recession? The founders of mediascript do – that’s who!
Angela and Ron Horne, founded mediascript in 2009 by combining both of their backgrounds to become a production house and a reseller of educational technologies focusing on the e-learning market. Fourteen years later, the company has grown to include:
- interactive kiosks and signage
- custom application software development
- custom e-learning systems
- video production and webcasting
- website and app development
MEET OUR TEAM
Angela Horne
chief executive officer
Angela began her career in banking working her way up to assistant branch manager. From there, she became an office manager for a technology company. The combination of these experiences, along with having the entrepreneurial spirit led her and Ron to start mediascript.
Angela is an active member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) since 2010. And serves as chair for several committees through their Regional Partner Organization the Women’s Business Enterprise Council Ohio River Valley (WBEC ORV). She has been named:
- WBE Advocate of the Year in 2013 and 2018
- WBE Supplier of the Year in 2016
- Volunteer of the Year in 2021
- WBENC STAR Award 2023
Additionally, Angela has completed the Kaufman FastTrac Program as well as the Institute for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Cornell University.
Ron Horne
chief technology officer and senior project lead
Ron has had a varied career; however, there has always been a central focus; building robust and quality systems to allow for the wide distribution of content/media for the most effective experience. He does this by combining his talents and experience of technical writing, technology sales and support, project management, application design, and a thorough understanding of rich media production, including professional video, audio, content development and editing. Of course, none of this would be possible without an enthusiastic work philosophy and the desire to continually be learning.
